Hey my 2 and a half readers! :D In an effort to get my lazy bum into gear, I’ve decided to switch over to a partially finished version of my new layout.

I’m planning to put more pixel art over the place, but alas I only have the moutains/sky done. If anyone’s knows of a good pixel art tutorial (especially about grass) I’d be glad to hear about it! :)

Feel free to make as much critique (nitpicky or otherwise) to me about the new layout as possible, even the parts that are obviously unfinished. I need prods to out of my lazy rut and into a productive rut :P

I’ve just been in kinda a state of a walking coma. Like a zombie, only capable of eating, sleeping and paying bills. It probably won’t help my productivity levels that I’m starting my university classes next week.

I have an idea about these sketches. It’s been driving me nuts that I’ve been lazy enough to leave them unfinished since last year.

I’m also thinking of remaking my site layout to make better use of space and such. I have no idea how to start it though, so don’t expect anything spectacular anytime soon. Also, as much as I’d like to make use of this blog to showcase my art, deep down I don’t really have faith in my old and slightly broken art submission arrangement. So unfortunately I’m stuck using dA at the moment. Hopefully I’ll change this when I do the layout upgrade, because I really do want to make better use of this website of mine.

So yeah, I’ve been spending most of my free time lately reading pages upon pages of news. Maybe this is some latent symptom from my lack of book reading. I can’t help it, the Brisbane Library only just opened recently! Just for kicks, here’s the major snares:

Automated news feeds can get addictive I tells ya!

Blargh, I won’t yammer on about how crap I am for not updating/being active. I’ve done it so much it’s become old hat now.

So aaaanyway, I’ll see if I can get myself active enough to finish off those sketches I promised on dA.

Also, I’m thinking of making some sort of e-cards to give out for christmas. Since the mail system will be way too clogged for real stuff, and since I’m also gifted at programming, hopefully it’ll be pretty fun.

I’d also like to make some sort of e-tree to let people stick decorations on, but I might not be able to get something like that done for christmas :S

Quilly said the other day that she wanted a 200×40 banner to link to my site, but instead of whipping up a 5-minute cheapo one, I decided to do a nice fancy one that’ll last :D

For some reason I decided to do pixel art, which I haven’t done in ages, but after I got started it turned out to be pretty fun. It’s rewarding to see it build up as you add each layer of detail. Any comments on the job I did? :P
