Kree’s Den

Bad news :( My precious tablet’s cable died again, just like it did before, and now I can’t rely on some (shoddy) replacement under warranty thing. So now I’m going for a completely radical, exciting and also slightly terrifying plan of replacing the cable with a USB Type B connector. This means I’ll be able to remove or replace the cord whenever I want.

Me and my dad stole the Type B connector off a dead printer, and we’ve already cut a hole in the case to fit the new connector in. I thought about taking pictures, but it’d be a lot more rewarding to take pictures once it’s completed. All that’s left is to attach the connector to the tablet’s innards and glue the new connector in place.

I can’t wait to finish it and get my precious tablet back :P

Just to let everyone know, I’m still working on Leonardo. Upgrading Visual Studio put a lot of annoying bugs into it that I’ve been trying to work out. I probably should get around to finishing the eraser so I can allow myself a 1.0 version though

There’s an annoying cursor problem when you look at the open, save or custom color dialogs, but other than that it’s pretty stable.

Because it’s written in C# you’ll need to find the .NET 2.0 Redistributables. They’re easy enough to get, but are around 20MBish. The good news is you’ll only need them once to be able to run most C# apps.

As you may or may not have noticed, I’ve added an awesome new feature to my header art. On each page load, a randomly-selected character is put on the banner :D Right now I’ve only got Kree, Dee and Kin, but I plan to add more up there soon :P

Which also means that I’m open to put up any other characters of people I know :D You can use this header image as a guide to design your pic from, or you could also use a screenshot of the website as a guide. Make sure to use an art program with separate layering ;)

As you can see with Kin, don’t bother restricting it to the boundaries of the header image! Because of the magic of CSS, I can literally put the image anywhere on the page! :P They could hang down from the top of the page, hang off the sides of the header, even hang down over the posts themselves (although you might not want to clutter my text XD).

I’d like the pic as a transparent PNG file. If you want to draw it in something like oC that only has white background, that’s okay because I can convert it to transparent myself :P Remember not to include any of the header image in it, all I need is your character. :)
